About Us

Raison d'être

Bright Orange Foundation draws its name from the colour of the sun- the greatest symbol for providing equal opportunity to everyone to grow and bloom. Bright Orange Foundation is a small endeavor to provide an opportunity to those from marginalized communities with a special focus on women and Children so that they can realize their full potential and all the dreams.
While there cannot be any doubt about the potential of children and women in these communities, the lack of opportunities is glaring and painful for anyone with a fair world view.
On the practical side, this loss of potential is not only a loss of the individual but a huge loss for the nation as a whole. Researches have proved the high dividends of the investment in children and education. For the household an increase in women’s income has direct impact on the well- being of children in the household. By extension this has direct impact on intergenerational poverty. With many pockets still left behind or beyond the reach of policies, Bright Orange is doing what our sense of responsibility towards the society guides us to do so that no one is left behind.

What we do

Bright Orange Foundation’s mission is to mainstream the children who do not have access to the formal education system. As a next step, we provide them, remedial classes, so that they understand the subject better, cope better with the formal education system and do not drop out.
To accomplish this we run informal education centers ‘Dream Big Vidya Kendra’ in different locations in sectors 54, 55, 56, and 61. The idea is to keep the kendras in the neighborhood so that travel is not a challenge for children and adolescent girls. In the second half of the day, we provide remedial classes for children who are already admitted to schools.
