Dream Big School Monthly News Letter – August,2022

Dear Patrons, Friends, and Supporters,
We are starting with a monthly newsletter to update you about the activities carried out and the powerful impact that your support has created.
August was a month full of activities for Bright Orange Foundation and Dream Big Schools.
Tree Plantation 2nd of August

Thank you, PDS International. An organization equally committed for this cause came forward to help us plant about 21 trees across our three schools. Shri Dharminder Ji, and Kamra ji from Punjabi Biradari, and Arya Samaj graced the occasion, interacted with our children and distributed Fruit Juices.

Tree plantation is the base of sustainable future. Our Children participated, enjoyed and understood the value!

Rakhi to the Real Protectors – Suraksha Bandhan
Date : 11th of August 2022

There cannot be a better way to say Thank you to our Police for the continuous and personal commitments shown in protecting our children. This Rakhi, our children visited Sector 56 Police Station, and tied Rakhi to  Police Officials. The equally enthusiastic officials  even paid a sum to children to complete the ritual

We always teach our children to dream big. What could be a better way than to have first woman Commissioner of Police visit our school and guide our children. Ms. Kala Ramachandran, Commissioner of Police kindly agreed. She visited our school on the 13th of August 2022, enjoyed the moments with our children. The children were full of enthsiasm to see her and were not ready to end the program.
Opening of new center in Sector 57
Date : 5th August, 2022
Though the story is the same- about 500 children in the community, and no access to education for these children, but there was no plan to open the center right now as we do not have any Grants/Sponsors for the same).
However, the realization that the need is immediate and seeing the faces of the excited children on the idea of an opportunity for education -we could not hold the plan. So, we opened the center on the 5th of August.
Difficulties and struggle is there but, of course, the smiles say that the efforts are worth the struggle that we have to face
Small Steps- Mainstreaming

Sanjay and Vipin could get admission in the overcrowded government Schools in class 2nd and 3rd respectively. We wish them all the very best. We are providing the required support through remedial classes to help them in shaping their future and fulfilling their dreams.
